Mogilevliftmash, an elevator manufacturer in Mogilev, Belarus, has rolled out the 375,000th elevator produced in the company’s more than five decades in business, BelTA reported on September 15. With plans to mark its 55th anniversary in October, the company aims to be the “leading elevator manufacturer in the post-Soviet space,” said Anton Belsky, deputy director general for Mogilevliftmash’s Commercial Affairs department. He noted that the company has about 200 models of passenger and freight elevators and produces up to 1,250 units per month, making it one of the largest elevator makers in Eastern Europe. He added that about 80% of its output is for export, chiefly to Russia, but it also serves several former Soviet Union states, including Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Georgia. In addition to complete elevators, Mogilevliftmash manufactures and installs motors, replacement and upgrade parts, wheelchair lifts and related products. The firm employs about 5,500 people.
