CECA Announces 2023 College Bursary/Scholarship Recipients

The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) has announced its 2023 college bursary/scholarship recipients from Durham and Mohawk colleges. Each receiving CAD500 (US$364), Durham College bursary recipients are Heather Reid Anderson and Daniella Giraldi. Anderson is entering her final semester in Durham’s Mechanical Technician of Elevating Devices program and continues to strive to be a top students while maintaining multiple volunteer positions. Giraldi is working toward her goal of becoming an elevator technician at Durham and encourages other women to do the same. The Mohawk College bursary recipients are Austin DeMelo and Jonathan Potts, both in their first year of the Elevator Devices program who each received CAD500; and Robert Davey and Jared Hillman, who are both approaching graduation. Each received a CAD750 (US$546) scholarship. Durham is located in Oshawa, Ontario, and Mohawk in Hamilton, Ontario.
