CECA Announces 2023 Scholarship Winners

The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) has announced the winners of the 2023 CECA Scholarships. Serin Cheun, daughter of Hee Cheun, of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, and Prabhjot Mann, daughter of Manjit Mann, of Surrey, British Columbia, were each awarded a general scholarship of CAD$2,500 (US$1,856). Two CAD$2,500 (US$1,856) Elevating Devices scholarships were awarded to students pursuing a career in the elevator industry. Cameron Amos of Summit Elevator is the son of Scott Amos and is currently studying as an apprentice at Durham College in Ontario, and Alexandre Knox of Ascenseurs Maxi is studying mechanical engineering at the University of Laval in Quebec. The CECA scholarship fund was established in 2016 to provide financial assistance to children, stepchildren and grandchildren of CECA members and their employees enrolled in post-secondary studies at a recognized educational institute in Canada.
