Following an inaugural meeting in April, the Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) Elle-levator — Women in Industry group will hold its second meeting on November 23 at 10 a.m. EST at the Sandman Signature Mississauga Hotel. The gathering will take place in the hotel’s Legacy meeting room and will include a light snack and coffee provided by Elevator One. Objectives include discussing the group’s goals and formulating a plan to accomplish them. The meeting will take place prior to the CECA/Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) town hall meeting and the CECA Central Region meeting, which all members are invited to attend. CECA Executive Director Catharine Bothwell said that, while this meeting will take place in person, the group will look at virtual and/or alternative locations in the future. Those with ideas and suggestions can contact Bothwell at email. Members can RSVP or register an interest group online.
