CECA Hosts Inaugural Elle-Levator Women’s Group Meeting

The inaugural meeting of the Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) Elle-levator — Women in the Industry group was held on April 6. CECA Executive Director Catharine Bothwell said more than 30 people attended. The meeting served as an opportunity to make introductions and discuss the purpose of the group, which Bothwell says is to “support, encourage and promote other women in the industry, as well as general networking.” Deneen McIvor of Elevator One will act as the initial chair of the group, working with Bothwell and the CECA board to further define the group. Future meetings will be held both in-person and in a hybrid format. CECA will hold its 49th annual convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia, June 13-16.
