CECA Members Urged to Attend Virtual AGM on June 2

The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) will hold a virtual AGM at 1 p.m. EST on June 2, with all members urged to register and download the event’s agenda, said Executive Director Catharine Bothwell, who added that the AGM is for members only. Those who plan to attend should sign in to their accounts. In advance of the AGM, there are two important topics to bring to your attention: CECA’s Antitrust Policy and Guidelines and a Proposed Amendment to the CECA Constitution calling for a two-year waiting period for membership. The antitrust measure is being discussed as a means to comply with Canada’s Competition Act, while the second measure is meant to address accessibility for new startup companies.
