CECA: Postal Worker Strike to Affect TSSA Mail

The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) tells members that the strike announced by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers on November 15 will disrupt mail services and impact regulated clients of Ontario’s Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) that depend on mail for TSSA services. These services include invoicing, statements, applications and authorizations (certificates, licenses, registrations and permits). TSSA will cease mailing licenses and other documents until Canada Post has restored normal mail service. During the postal strike, clients are encouraged to sign up for paperless invoicing through the TSSA Client Portal, log on to the TSSA Client Portal to submit applications and use the Pre-Payment Portal for elevating devices and fuels engineering applications or services not offered on the Client Portal. Interested parties may visit the TSSA website or email the authority.
