CECA Requests Donation for Quebec Trade School

In a letter to members, Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) Executive Director Catharine Bothwell requested donations for the École des métiers du Sud-Ouest-de-Montréal, the trade school students must attend to become elevator mechanics in Quebec. Bothwell said she had been in touch with a teacher and that CECA will donate hard copies of the Elevator Industry Field Employees’ Safety Handbook — Canadian Edition to the students. Additional donations are requested, especially books to help build the school library. Bothwell has created a Google document to organize book donations. The trade school is also open to corporate donations and would provide company recognition.
