Champion Expands Hudson Valley Footprint

Champion Elevator, headquartered in Manhattan, NYC, with locations in Connecticut, New Jersey and Long Island, announced on May 16 the acquisition of Hunter Elevator, a provider of elevator installation, service, repair, modernization and inspections in the Hudson Valley, New York, region that includes Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties. Jerry Datson, who founded Hunter Elevator in 1999, said he looks forward to building on the strategic alliance as he settles into retirement. Hunter Elevator employees have been offered the opportunity to join Champion. In announcing the deal, Champion President Don Gelestino said his company has secured funding to realize further “strategic geographic expansion.”
