CiA Elects BOD, Names Business and Technical Committee Members

The nonprofit international CAN in Automation (CiA) users and manufacturers association, headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany, elected its Board of Directors (BoD) and named members of its business and technical committees CiA announced on March 28. Holger Zeltwanger remains managing director; Magnus Hell of Infineon Technologies AG of Austin, Texas, was elected technical director; and Christian Schlegel of Wangen, Germany-based CHS Consulting was re-elected business director. Business committee company members are Emotas, ESD, HMS, Microcontrol and Vector. The technical committee consists of Bosch, Emotas, ESD, Microcontrol and Vector. The organization has approximately 750 members and develops CAN-related specifications including the CAN XL ecosystem with protocol specifications, implementation guidelines and network design recommendations. In the past year, more than 2 billion CAN nodes have been installed.
