The nonprofit CAN in Automation (CiA) association plans to host an on-site seminar in the German language for newcomers to CAN and CANopen, which includes CANopen Lift, the CAN communication platform for elevator control systems. The event is set to take place on November 7 from 9:00 to 17:00 Coordinated Universal Time at the CiA office in Nuremberg, Germany. Participants will learn the basics of CANopen CC (CiA 301), additional CANopen CC functions and CANopen device/application profiles. As CANopen is a CAN-based higher-layer protocol, the seminar also covers aspects of the CAN physical layer and CAN data link. Additionally, an introduction to the CANopen FD protocol (CiA 1301) will be provided.
