Class Project To Transform Ohio Residential Building’s Elevators

Ohio’s Youngstown State University (YSU) Department of Art is partnering with the Western Reserve Port Authority of City Centre One and the Economic Action Group to create a series of innovative interior murals that will transform the building’s elevator spaces into immersive artistic experiences. YSU’s site-specific mural class will be reimagining transitional spaces through bold, thought-provoking designs that will engage visitors throughout City Centre One. “The collaborative project brings together professional vision and student creativity to elevate the visual and conceptual experience of everyday spaces,” YSA said. “The project provides students with real-world experience working with community partners and professional stakeholders, preparing them for careers in public art and design.”
