Seven16 Lafayette Tower

Plans for a new, US$140-million high rise in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana, have been announced, Hot 107.9 reports. The development, called Seven16 Lafayette Tower, will be 240,000 ft2 and feature two 20-story towers. If built, it will be the tallest building in Lafayette at 260 ft. The first seven floors of each building will contain parking garages, the eighth floor will have a patio area and floors nine through 16 will contain commercial office space. The higher floors will contain condominiums that have hit the market at a pre-sale price, the cheapest of which is a 801-ft2, one-bedroom unit listed at US$599,000. The purchase of the land will reportedly close by the end of 2021, and the project is expected to be completed by 2024.
