Dubai Real Estate Holdings member Meraas awarded a more than AED2-billion (US$544.4-million) contract to Arabian Construction Co. LLC to construct Design Quarter within the Dubai Design District (d3), d3’s first residential community, outlets including Construction Business News report. Described as a “global creative and design ecosystem,” d3 is slated for completion by mid-2027. Located in the heart of d3, Design Quarter will feature 558 apartments with up to three bedrooms within one low-rise and two high-rise buildings. The towers will sit atop a podium housing co-working spaces, an indoor-outdoor gym, pool facilities and children’s play areas. The world’s leading creative brands, designers and entrepreneurs are expected to set up shop in d3, which will boast a blend of high-end fashion stores, art galleries, design and creative institutes.
