CTBUH Announces Chicago Building Tours as Part of Event
As part of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) “Tall Excellence: Seeking the Ideal in Vertical Urbanism” conference on November 9-12 in Chicago, the council has announced Chicago Building Tours. On November 12, conference attendees may register to tour a “key selection of new and historically significant buildings in Chicago.” Planned tours include 800 West Fulton, a Skidmore, Owings & Merrill structure that is “reinvigorating the surrounding neighborhood;” the recently converted neo-gothic landmark Tribune Tower, hosted by Solomon Cordwell Buenz; 860-880 Lake Shore Drive, a “Miesian modern icon” that recently underwent a residential restoration, hosted by Krueck Sexton Partners: and BMO Tower, a new office high-rise in the West Loop, hosted by Riverside Development.
