CTBUH Announces Key Leadership Transition

(l-r) Mills and Watts

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) on September 21 announced a key leadership transition: Board Chairman Steve Watts will be succeeded by Shonn Mills, a board member since 2020. The transition will be formalized at the Board of Trustees meeting at the CTBUH International Conference in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on October 16-21. A former partner at alinea and now director at London-based Turner & Townsend alinea, Watts has more than 30 years’ experience as a cost consultant in the architecture, engineering and consulting (AEC) industries. CTBUH thanked Watts for “marshaling the organization through a period of remarkable growth” that included strengthened partnerships with global AEC companies. Mills began his career as a bridge designer, notably in California, relocating to London in 2007 to focus on building engineering projects in the U.K., Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
