The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) U.K. Chapter will again be hosting the Buildings by Boat summer networking event including a tour of London’s tallest buildings along the River Thames on September 14. The event gives attendees a chance to hear from the CTBUH London Chapter, followed by a set of short presentations discussing a brief history and key technical facts about a handful of the key buildings along the route. The route starts at Westminster (Temple Pier) to Battersea Power Station, back down past the City of London & Bermondsey, Canary Wharf and onto the Greenwich Peninsula, before circling back to Tower Bridge Pier to allow some guests to disembark and subsequently returning to Temple Pier. The headline sponsor is Lindner Group, and the keynote speakers will be announced at a later date.
