Dayton International Airport Plans US$2.2 Million Escalator Modernization

Officials from Dayton International Airport (DAY) have announced plans to undertake a US$2.2 million renovation effort, Dayton 24/7 Now is among outlets to report. The project will modernize two pairs of escalators, one in Concourse A and the other in Concourse B, that have been causing “significant maintenance issues.” Funding for the modernization will be primarily covered by the Airport Terminal Program, which was established as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. DAY Planning and Engineering Manager Michael Cross said that the airport has not yet been awarded the grant. The project is estimated to take about a year after it begins in January 2024.
