Trammell Crow subsidiary High Street Residential has released new details about the 470-ft-tall, 43-story Parkside Residences, set to open by summer 2023 close to downtown Houston’s Discovery Green Park, the Houston Chronicle reports. Designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects with interior design by Waldrop + Nichols Studio, the building will offer 309 rental units of varying sizes featuring 10-ft ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, high-end appliances and fixtures and “spa-like bathrooms.” Parkside Residences will also have Houston’s highest rooftop pool, a catering kitchen, a fitness center, an expansive work-from-home area with conference rooms and pods for both solo and group work and multiple outdoor seating areas overlooking the Houston skyline and the park. The tower is part of a resurgence of residential development in downtown Houston, which the source notes traditionally “has been a bit of a ghost town after 5 p.m. on weekdays.”
