Scot Matteson of Matteson Capital, developer of the mixed-use Boardwalk at Bricktown in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, which includes what would be the tallest tower in the U.S. at 1,907 ft., says he has secured financing for the US$1.5 billion project, KOKO News 5 reports. On the drawing board are hotels, condos and a supertall tower, set to take shape on four acres in downtown Oklahoma City. Matteson says he hopes to “start moving dirt by the end of the summer.” Matteson has applied for a height variance for the tower, Legends Tower, which would be taller than NYC’s One World Trade Center. He says he’s used to naysayers and skeptics, and noted he is finishing up a US$20 billion project in Miami that spans 10 city blocks and faced a lot of pushback, “but we got it done.” A public hearing on Boardwalk at Bricktown is planned by the Oklahoma City Planning Commission on April 11.
