Developer Pushes For Three-Tower Package In Miami

Developer Mast Capital has filed plans with the Miami Urban Development Review Board to construct 1420 South Miami Avenue, a three-towered mixed-use project, Florida YIMBY reports. The plan calls for construction on a little more than 2.7 million ft2 for the site and would include 1,255 residential units. The proposal also calls for 18,969 ft2 of commercial space and 1,646 parking spots. The three towers are expected to rise to 604, 691 and 939 ft and stand 50, 59 and 80 stories. Design is by Arquitectonica, and landscaping will be by ArquitectonicaGEO. The interior lot spans approximately 2.76 acres, or 120,106 ft2. The development will occupy 80% of the location, and the remaining 20% will be reserved for open spaces. The tallest tower, just below official supertall status, will include 405 condominium units. The middle- and lower-height towers will each offer 425 rental residences. As planned, 1420 South Miami Avenue will surpass Miami’s current tallest towers, the 868-ft-tall Panorama Tower and the 817-ft-tall Aston Martin Residences. Construction financing has reportedly already been secured. Work is expected to begin later this year and is scheduled to reach completion by 2025.
