The Mogilevliftmash elevator assembly plant in Belarus has officially opened in Azerbaijan, BelTA reports. At the opening, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin was shown the company’s production facilities and elevator models to be assembled in Azerbaijan. Two years after the elevator assembly production plant Vertus Engineering Co. Ltd. was opened, Mogilevliftmash and the company signed an agreement to establish an assembly production plant in Azerbaijan, which is now underway. Deputy Director General for Commercial Affairs at Mogilevliftmash Anton Belsky said that parts for elevator assembly were already being manufactured in Baku for Azerbaijan’s need to replace a large number of elevators, with approximately 3,000 elevators in Baku alone. Mogilevliftmash is also working to produce high-speed elevators.
