Elevator Crushes Plumber in Delhi, India, Residential Area

A plumber working to clear water from an elevator shaft in the Naraina Vihar residential area of Delhi, India, was crushed on October 9 when someone pressed a button to call the elevator, NDTV is among outlets to report. The man was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. The incident occurred at a multistory building, to which the man had been called to repair the flooded lift. A technician extracted him, but he succumbed to his injuries. In October, local police had begun an investigation.
