Elevator Filled with Officers Collapses in Brooklyn

An elevator in the Industry City building in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NYC, collapsed at approximately 10 a.m. on May 10 with about 24 members of federal and local law enforcement agencies inside, the New York Post is among outlets to report. One detective suffered a back injury and was transported to NYU Lagrone Hospital. According to the New York Police Department, there were no other injuries. An officer told the Post there was a “hard drop, hard jolt and dust everywhere” when the unit dropped one floor to the basement. The agents, from the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Service, are in the process of moving from Manhattan to the Industry City building, a source told the Post
