Sound Transit, the public transit agency for the Seattle, Washington, metropolitan area, announced that, starting on January 8 through the beginning of 2026, there will be ongoing construction at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) Airport Station as a new elevator is added. The new elevator will provide an alternative option to reach the pedestrian bridge from the pickup/drop-off parking lot across from the station. During times when the pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station to use the 1 Line. Additional information about elevator accessibility will be provided as it becomes available.
