FDNY Frees Worker Pinned Between Elevator and Wall

New York City Fire Department (FDNY) responders rescued a parking garage worker pinned between a car elevator and a wall on the Upper East Side of NYC, ABC 7 was among outlets to report on June 11. When firefighters arrived at the 73rd Street garage, the man was pinned from the waist down and was conscious. Firefighters used a saw to cut the man out of the elevator, “as a car hung precariously from the floor above onto the top of the elevator car.” The man was taken away by ambulance and his condition, as of June 13, was unknown.
