Fiji Hospital Patients Facing Elevator Delays

Patients at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, Fiji, who need surgery are not getting operated on on time due to faulty elevators, fijivillage reports. Hospital employees have indicated to the source that the hospital needs an in-house set of engineers to focus solely on elevator maintenance as the elevators are essential for transporting people to and from surgery. There are reports that some have waited three days or more for surgeries, some with worsening conditions, due to the backlog of patients waiting for the elevator to be fixed.
