Otis tells ELEVATOR WORLD it is providing five traction elevators for 1515 Surf Avenue in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY. Designed by Studio V Architecture and developed by LCOR, the property consists of 26- and 16-story towers that will offer 461 residences, including 139 that are affordable. The 26-story tower will be served by three Otis units and the 16-story tower, two. New York YIMBY reports that 1515 Surf Avenue is continuing its ascent, with completion anticipated in spring 2024. LRC Construction is the general contractor. The property will be distinguished by a brick façade, a vast ground floor with diagonal columns, a sloped roofline and curved, glass-lined balconies from which resident can enjoy “panoramic views of the Coney Island amusement park and the Atlantic Ocean.”
