Former Minister of Health Dies in Elevator Accident

Former Minister of Health for Sri Lanka Dr. P.M.B. Cyril has died from injuries sustained in an elevator accident at his residence, Newswire reports. According to the source, he sustained serious injuries after the elevator in his house collapsed from the third floor. The accident took place while Cyril and his driver were inspecting the recently renovated lift. The 89-year-old former government official was taken to the hospital, where he died. His driver, who was also injured during the incident, is currently receiving medical treatment.
