Ltd. in November 2023, has been authorized as a Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIIM) by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Fujitec announced on July 25. A JIIM is an institute built by a Japanese company in India authorized and supported by the ministry’s “Program to Promote the Transfer of Technology for Manufacturing.” In a JIIM, curriculum is focused on the methods and technology required to conduct Japanese-style manufacturing. Fujitec JIM can accommodate 40 trainees in a one-year course in which they learn about elevator manufacturing, product quality, safety and jobsite productivity.
