Working with general contractor Urban Atelier Group, Fujitec provided a three-elevator system for 300 East 50th Street, a 23-story residential tower in the Turtle Bay area of Midtown East, Manhattan, NY, Fujitec tells ELEVATOR WORLD. All three units are gearless traction passenger elevators that travel 700 ft/min traversing all 25 floors. All have front openings, with one also having two side openings. New York YIMBY reported in January that façade installation had reached the pinnacle at the property, designed by BKSK Architects and developed by MAG Partners in collaboration with Global Holdings, KRW Realty Advisors, Krown Point and Safanad. Its 170,000 ft2 will contain 194 residences that are 30% affordable, ground-level retail and a cellar level. Completion is anticipated in the fourth quarter of this year.
