Germany’s Alois Kasper Expands Footprint With Acquisition

Alois Kasper GmbH, founded in 1945 in the western German state of Saarland, announced it has acquired Trierer Aufzugbau Baasch und Didong GmbH, further expanding its footprint in the Saarland-Rhine-Main area, effective July 1. Alois Kasper, a KONE subsidiary since 2017, said the move enables it to meet growing demand for “high-quality elevator solutions and services in the region.” Now in its second generation of family leadership, Trierer Aufzugbau was founded in the 1950s and is known for its “outstanding achievements in the manufacture, installation and performance of high-quality, customer-specific elevator solutions.” In addition to Trierer Aufzugbau Managing Director Horst Baasch, company leadership is supplemented by Sascha Seiß and Frank Gabriel. Matthias Didong, who, like Baasch, belongs to the founding family, is stepping down from management. Describing Alois Kasper as Trierer Aufzugbau’s “dream partner,” Baasch said “from the very beginning, contact with my new co-managing directors has been characterized by mutual respect, appreciation, reliability and shared goals.”
