In Memoriam: David “Dave” Robert Andree

David “Dave” Robert Andree of Breckenridge, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 19, 2023, at age 88. A licensed electrician, Andree worked various construction jobs before he began a 35-year career with R&O Elevator, a Minneapolis-based vertical-transportation service, repair and modernization company founded in 1925 and acquired by what was then ThyssenKrupp in 2005. As an elevator/escalator installation technician, Andree was often accompanied by his “assistant,” a black lab named Cinder. He retired from R&O in 1995. Andree had a passion for restoring vintage cars. Among his most treasured were a 1968 Shelby Cobra fastback and a 1956 Ford F150 truck. Survivors include wife, Rosetta; children, Pam, Kim and David; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held in Battle Lake, Minnesota, in late December.
