In Memoriam: Denny Lee Bobo

Bobo

Denny Lee Bobo, a native of Anniston, Alabama, and resident of Opelika, Alabama, passed away on August 16 at age 79. Bobo spent a lifetime in the elevator industry, starting in construction and working his way up to mechanic, supervisor and, after retirement, inspector. A strong supporter of the union, his strong work ethic was well known throughout the industry. In his free time, Bobo enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, vacationing and, last but not least, working. A living example of Christ’s unconditional love, Bobo was frequently the person family and friends called upon in times of need. Survivors include wife and high school sweetheart, Margaret; sons, Christopher, Brian and Jonathan; daughter, Amy; and lifelong best friend, work partner and brother, Danny Edward Bobo. Bobo had 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to St. Jude Children’s® Research Hospital.
