In Memoriam: Evelyn Guderian

Evelyn Guderian, beloved wife of late Canadian Elevator Contractors Association Member In Memoriam Walter Guderian and mother of Delta Elevator’s Dr. Angela Guderian, passed away peacefully on August 8 in Powassan, Ontario, Canada, at age 81. She was also predeceased by her son, Marcel. Survivors include son, Douglas Guderian of Elevator One; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Although Guderian’s life got off to a difficult start in war-torn Europe, she was able to make a good life in Canada with her husband and many beloved family members and friends. A wonderful cook, she enjoyed traveling and visiting the family cottage on Georgia Bay. Although she settled well into her nursing home, she often said, “The sandcastle is too lonely without Dad,” her family said. “It is comforting to know they are now reunited.” Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of one’s choice may be arranged by contacting Erb & Good Funeral Home.
