In Memoriam: Mark Patko

Mark Patko

Mark Patko, a retired elevator mechanic who spent almost his entire career with Otis in Las Vegas, passed away on August 22 at age 59 after a battle with cancer. A native of Chicago, Patko devoted 42 years of his life to the elevator trade and was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 18. Before he became ill, Patko enjoyed golfing, camping, photography, art and fashion. He was very close to his family and God, and followed the teachings of the late Gene Scott. Survivors include his wife, Audra; siblings, Rene, Chris and Jeff; and children, Olivia, Kaylee and Dylan. A celebration of Patko’s life is planned closer to what would have been his 60th birthday, October 14.
