The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) in Guwahati, India, plans to add more escalators and elevators for train riders, The Morung Express reports. Officials behind the addition of 11 new elevators and 13 escalators are planning these on top of the 32 elevators and 22 escalators already operating at major NFR stations within five divisions, according to a public relations officer. The additions, however, do not include installations at the station in Nagaland, India. Elevators are currently installed at 15 stations, and the 11 new ones are planned for six other stations. The current escalators are operating in nine stations; the 13 new ones are being targeted for four operating stations.
