Nashik Road railway station in India will get an elevator and escalator on platforms 2 and 3 in the near future, Construction World reports. The main foot-overbridge, constructed at the Mumbai end of the station, connects to platforms 1 and 4 through an elevator and a ramp, respectively. However, there is only one staircase that connects to platforms 2 and 3. Bhusawal Divisional Railways has started construction of an elevator and an escalator to increase accessibility to the platforms. Work on the project has been going on for approximately 10 months, and completion is expected in late January.
