Indian Authority to Build 22-Floor Building In SMS Hospital

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDP) has started clearing ground to build the in-patient department (IDP) and Institute of Cardiology building at SMS Hospital in Jaipur, India, The Times of India reported in July. Tender has been issued to tear down the staff quarters and the cottage wards for construction. The groundbreaking will take place on August 15 and the construction of the IDP tower and Institute of Cardiology building will take approximately 21 months. “The IDP tower will comprise 1,200 beds and the structure will be 750,000 ft2. Similarly, Institute of Cardiology will be built in 100,00 ft2,” a JPD official said.
