Indonesian authorities reported a fatal elevator incident on July 5 in the country’s province of Lampung that left seven construction workers dead and two others critically injured, XINHUANET reports. The incident occurred at a private school in Bandar Lampung, the province’s capital city. Local officials told the source that the nine workers were aboard a freight elevator that dropped from the fifth floor of the building, which officials believe was due to excess weight. The incident is under investigation. Those injured were evacuated and taken to nearby hospitals.
