Organizers of interlift expressed optimism during a digital press conference on February 1 about the upcoming 2022 global trade fair, planned on April 26-29 in Augsburg, Germany. V.F.A.-INTERLIFT E.V. President Achim Hutter welcomed the approximately 230 participants to the event, and organizers provided a detailed preview of what to expect at the show. Amid improving conditions related to the pandemic, organizers expect more than 350 exhibitors from 27 nations, with approximately one third from Germany, half from other European countries, and a fifth from Asia and the U.S. After Germany, the strongest participation is expected from Italy (59), Turkey (55) and Spain (23). “By mid-February at the latest, a decline in the number of (COVID-19) cases is expected and, with it, the withdrawal of the federal government’s coronavirus measures,” AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GbmH said in a press release. “In recent weeks and months, a number of organizers have clearly demonstrated that trade shows can be held successfully under current conditions.”
