U.K.-based International Lift Equipment (ILE) hosted a “Lift Car Fest” event in its Highams Park distribution center in North London on June 8, raising £2,000 (US$2,518) in donations for the Lift Industry Charity, which works to improve the lives of industry professionals and their families impacted by injury and loss. The event featured a barbecue, refreshments and a range of classic or performance vehicles and motorcycles for all to see and enjoy. Examples ranged from a Jaguar SS100 to a 1972 Buick Riviera Boat Tail, as well as more modern vehicles such as a Porsche Panamera 4 and a Harley-Davidson Breakout. Vantage Elevation was the key sponsor for the event, as ILE is the exclusive distributor of Vantage Elevation’s GAL product line in the U.K. Additional supporters included Rimex Metal Group and Ziehl-Abegg. The event attracted more than 75 professionals from across the U.K. lift industry in London and beyond, many of whom expressed their enthusiasm to be involved in what is the first of many future similar events to be hosted by ILE.
