Invertek Drives, which designs and manufactures variable frequency drives at its headquarters in Welshpool, U.K., recently announced it has “gone the extra mile” to achieve the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO 26000:2010 guidance to show its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). “Rather than a certification system, ISO:26000:2010 provides guidance on what social responsibility is and how organizations can operate in a socially responsible manner” ISO states. Toward that end and to demonstrate its CSR commitment, Invertek Drives embraces seven guiding principles: accountability, transparency, ethical behavior, respect for stakeholder interests, respect for the rule of law, respect for international norms of behavior and respect for human rights. The company consistently monitors its performance based on its seven guiding principles and uses Ecovadis to independently assess actions, data and evidence annually. Invertek Drives also participates in the Carbon Disclosure Project for both carbon and water, publicly reporting the findings.
