Invertek Drives, Ltd., the U.K.-based electric motor control technology specialist, plans to showcase the Optidrive Elevator Core variable frequency drive (VFD) at The Elevator Show in Dubai on September 16-18. Invertek will be releasing additional new features for its dedicated VFD, including that it is now compliant with ASME A17.1-2022, opening it up to more markets such as North America, as well as Europe and the rest of the world. The innovative Optidrive Elevator Core features USB-C connectivity, allowing it to be powered up in the box with a mobile phone. It also includes a universal encoder module and an internal EMC filter. Compliance with ASME A17.1-2022, meanwhile, ensures the VFD “meets the most stringent safety requirements for elevators and escalators, including enhanced provisions for fire safety, emergency operations and accessibility,” Invertek observed.
