Jackson, the U.K.’s largest lift, escalator and cradle maintenance company, has confirmed its collaboration agreement with Meteor Löher. The agreement relates to the manufacture of Löher’s escalators and moving walks to the Jackson U.K. specification and quality requirements. The two organizations have worked successfully on many projects in the U.K. relating to site-specific bespoke escalators and moving walks manufactured to Jackson quality standards. Examples can be found in multiple locations including House of Fraser department stores, Stansted Airport and various regional shopping centers. Philip Rudd, Jackson Sales director, said that the Jackson design ensures manufacturing fully complies with relevant U.K. and European Union standards, making them ideal for existing buildings by providing a 25-year lifespan as an alternative to the 10-year life expectancy of an in-situ escalator or moving walk modernization.
