Jackson Lift Group recently announced completion of a lift modernization project at the Marks & Spencer (M&S) department store and food hall at the Cribbs Causeway shopping complex just north of Bristol, U.K.’s city center. Jackson Lift sales engineers from the Bristol office surveyed the store’s back-of-house goods and passenger lifts and submitted a competitive tender based on M&S’s lift consultants’ specifications. Jackson Lift’s Bristol team was awarded a contract for the modernization of two passenger lifts serving the two-story store. Works included full modernization of a single left-hand side, top-drive goods/passenger lift, which continues to operate as a simplex lift alongside a right-hand side, adjacent lift modernized in 2016. The Jackson Lift team installed a new controller, completely new hosting machine, new safety equipment, landing entrances and architraves.
