John Bailey to Step Into CEO Role at Dewhurst

John Bailey

Feltham, U.K.-headquartered Dewhurst Group plc, a global manufacturer and supplier of components for the lift, transport and keypad industries, announced on July 12 the appointment of John Bailey as CEO, effective October 1. Bailey is an existing company board member and managing director (MD) of its A&A Electrical Distributors business. Alongside Bailey’s appointment, David Dewhurst will step down as group MD and assume the new executive role of strategic advisor. Dewhurst’s Board of Directors (BoD) remains unchanged. Prior to joining Dewhurst in 2008, Bailey worked in senior commercial roles for leading manufacturers in the building products sector. In his 15 years with Dewhurst, he has led the A&A and TMP (highway and traffic management products) divisions as MD and played a key role at the BoD level in the development of Dewhurst businesses both in the U.K. and overseas. Dewhurst Group Chairman Richard Dewhurst says Bailey’s “customer-centric focus and commercial experience” make him a perfect fit for the job.
