Kencor’s Safety Practices Earn ABC STEP Gold Rating

The safety practices of Kencor Elevator Systems, headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania, earned a STEP Gold rating from the national trade association Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Kencor recently announced. ABC’s STEP program provides an organized approach for analyzing and developing safety and loss-prevention programs. It incorporates both OSHA-required safety data with self-assessment information to give a full report on a company’s safety program. Achieving a Gold rating means Kencor had an incident rate at or below the North American Industry Classification System code average and has consistently fulfilled OSHA recordkeeping responsibilities, among other factors. Kencor observed the rating reflects “our commitment to total human health and safety on our jobsites.”
