KLST Acquired by Private-Equity Firm Mition

Mition GmbH Mitelstandsbeteiligungen (Mition), a private equity firm focused on succession solutions for companies, acquired the well-established provider of elevator control systems, switchgears and components for elevators, Detlef Klinkhammer Steuerungen und Komponenten für Aufzüge GmbH (KLST), effective February 1. Founded in 1989 by Detlef Klinkhammer, KLST consists of approximately 60 employees, and develops and manufactures custom elevator control systems for nearly all major elevator manufacturers. The company has manufactured and delivered approximately 35,000 control packages and, in the 2024 financial year, generated approximately EUR16 million (US16.5 million) in revenue. KLST will continue to be located in Zülpich in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
