KONE 4G Gateway, manufactured by KONE with KONE China & Asia Technology of Kunshan, China, has received a prestigious Red Dot Design Award in the Industrial Equipment, Machinery and Automation category, Red Dot announced in April. Improving connectivity of elevators by separating the antenna unit from the PCB assembly to create a strong wireless signal, KONE 4G Gateway features a trapezoidal shape that simplifies maintenance work. Signal lights can be seen from a distance. The product was designed to minimize the use of resources, and housing materials are recyclable.
